    Event Description:
    The Friendship Centers of Emmet county want you to join them in their first annual Celebrate Our Seniors Holiday Wreath Fundraiser!

    Purchase a wreath to donate to an area senior or buy one for yourself for just $12 or buy 2 for $22! Each wreath is 16'' in diameter and will be made from boughs including douglas fir, pine, and cedar. They will be personally decorated by our home health aides at FCEC. All donations will benefit the In-Home Services Department at The Friendship Centers of Emmet County.

    To order by phone please call (231) 347-0300. Wreaths will be sold through December 8th. Pickup dates for wreaths will be Friday, December 1st and Monday, December 11th with delivery dates to seniors beginning December 4th.

  • Safe Home Harvest Food and Supply Drive Safe Home Harvest Food and Supply Drive

    Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan’s (WRCNM) Harvest Food and Supply Drive supports survivors and their children seeking refuge from domestic abuse at the Safe Home.  Last year, the Safe Home provided families 3,000 nights of shelter, 9,000 meals and all daily needs at no cost.  Donations of non-perishable foods, household supplies, personal care items, grocery gift cards and financial contributions help make the Safe Home feel like ‘home’ for many families utilizing these vital services. 
     
    Harvest Food and Supply Drive donation locations: WRCNM main office at 423 Porter Street, Petoskey; Gold Mine Resale Shops, Petoskey; and WRCNM offices in Cheboygan, Gaylord and Mancelona.  The Safe Home Needs List is online at www.wrcnm.org.  For more information, call (231) 347-1572

    The 2017 Juried Fine Arts Exhibition of 2D and relief work will be presented in the Ermy B. & Gordon B. Bonfield Gallery from October 21 through January 6. The 2017 Juried Fine Arts Exhibition is open to all Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ontario residents, and to all members of Crooked Tree Arts Center regardless of residency. Applicants must be 18 years or older, working in 2D and relief (that can be exhibited on walls).  Awards will be announced at the opening on Saturday, October 21, between the hours of 2-4 p.m. Click for more information.

    The alumnae of the CTAC Artist in Residence Program in Good Hart will participate in the group exhibition Fresh AIR. The exhibit will include recent works by Amanda Boyd, Lindsey Dunnagan,
