Bird Walk at Postle Farm Preserve
EVENING WALK TUESDAY - Postle Farm Preserve near WalloonTuesday, May 26 9-11 am with Tracy Datlen and the Walloon Lake Trust & Conservancy (WLTC)Postle Farm Preserve in Charlevoix County is one of the largest tracts preserved by the WLTC. The rolling terrain includes open fields of former farmland, dense woods, a small stream and a seasonal pond. This walk is family-friendly. Loaner binoculars will be available for adults and children. Expect the possibility of bugs and dress accordingly. Trails are uneven and well marked with interpretive signs. Directions: Postle Farm Preserve abuts the Walloon Lake Country Club and is accessed via Country Club Road. From Petoskey take 131 South, go past Bear River Road, turn right on Country Club Road. Drive about a mile and at the 90° turn take the two-track driveway towards the barn. There's plenty of parking in the field near the barn. If you miss the turn,you'll see a large sign for the Postle Farm Preserve just after the driveway if coming from 131 South.Bird Walk at Postle Farm PreserveDate and Time
