Environmental Forum
Michigan Sierra Club leaders will provide an overview of environmental and conservation issues challenging the region, the state and nation. The event will start with an informal meet and greet and refreshments. Issues to be covered will include: Line 5; threats to state and national public lands; rollbacks of environmental protection; and proposed cuts to the EPA and other environmental programs as part of the Trump budget proposal. Sierra Club staff will provide information on what the public can do to counter these threats. The opportunity to establish a local Sierra Club volunteer entity will also be discussed. Space is limited to 50. Those interested can register on the Petoskey Library’s event calendar: http://petoskeylibrary.evanced.info/signup/Calendar
