    Event Description:
    The Harbor Springs Area Historical Society is thrilled to welcome David Lyle, recently retired president of Walstrom Marine, as the next speaker in their Harbor History Talk series. Join them on Thursday, April 20 at 5:30 pm for Lyle’s presentation “Great Lakes Freighters: A Firsthand Account.” Lyle has spent a lifetime sailing American’s inland highway from Lake Superior to Lake Erie. Join the Historical Society for his engaging presentation of his time on the Great Lakes as deckhand, deckwatch, seaman, first mate and captain. Lyle’s presentation beings at 5:30 pm on the second floor of the Harbor Springs History Museum and refreshments will be provided. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for current Historical Society members. Due to limited seating at the museum, reservations to attend this talk are strongly encouraged and can be made by calling (231) 526-9771.
