Hear from leaders in the arena of corporate social responsibility to learn how businesses are best equipped to elevate the human conditions in our communities while enhancing their internal human resources and financial bottom line at the same time.

Nathan Havey:  This will mark Nathan’s third formal presentation for the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce.  He is the founder of Thrive Consulting based in the Leelanau Peninsula and is working nationally as a consultant with key businesses looking to implement positive business practices through Conscious Capitalism.  He has created and is facilitating a 52-week training program to help company leadership teams implement conscious business practices, and he is a contributor to Conscious Company Magazine.

Keith Maki:  Keith is the director of marketing and public relations for the Cascade Engineering Family of companies.  Based in Michigan, Cascade Engineering has nine business units and employs 1600 people across 15-facilities.  They are a “Triple Bottom Line” company with a belief that business has the unique opportunity to complement its efforts on financial performance with important work in the social and environmental arenas.  Cascade Engineering exemplifies the key role business can play in building financial, social, and ecological capital, often through partnerships with government and community agencies.

Crooked Tree Arts Center in Downtown Petoskey is pleased to present  Ansel Adams: Masterworks for the summer of 2017. The exhibit is comprised of 48 iconic images of Ansel Adams and 1 portrait of Ansel Adams by James Alinder. Late in his life, Adams curated these to serve as a succinct representation of his life’s work. He felt these photographs were his best, called “The Museum Set.” This exhibit will run June 1—September 30, 2017 in the Petoskey galleries. As part of the exhibit there are several special events and complementary programming planned, including workshops, panel discussions, weekly guided tours, lectures, a juried photography show of Our National Parks and more.
