    Job Description
    Facilities Manager:
    The Facilities Manager is a working supervisor and also responsible for a team charged with the maintenance of buildings and grounds, and utilities systems.

    Job Requirements:
    • Work experience and facility system maintenance knowledge
    • Must have both mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience
    • Ability to assign and monitor the work of other team members
    • Ability to manage multiple projects within a fast paced environment
    • Excellent organizational and follow through skills required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational skills to prioritize work activities within project and operational
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Supervise employees who do not supervise
    • Supervise temporary and contract employees
    • Trains new employees and service contractors
    • Allocates and monitors the work of others
    • Occasional travel required
    • Team leader and coordinator for a small group of 3-5 maintenance laborers
    • Will coordinate daily maintenance needs and preventive maintenance schedules for all building systems under the direction of the facilities manager
    • Possess extensive knowledge of commercial building systems including maintenance and repairs of those systems
    • Must have a working ability to diagnose issues and make repairs as well as the ability to call in subcontractors as required
    • Will asses capital improvement and repair requirements for the assigned properties.
    • Must posses 3 years experience as Supervisor in team environment
    • Must have excellent communication skills, and be high dependable, motivated, organized, and have good time management skills
    • Experience with budgets is a plus
    • Must have verifiable relevant skills and experience with commercial building systems
    • 40 hours a week, including some weekends
    • Applicant should have own reliable and insured vehicle, valid ADL, good driving background and pass a criminal background check
    • Provide career tracks for the supervision of skilled trades work including: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, voice/data, and general building maintenance
    • Perform skilled trades work as needed
    • Supervisory tasks for this role range from single trades to the supervision of multiple trades in a building maintenance operation
    • Train and supervise employees
    • Work supervised and reported includes: maintenance, repair, replacement, fabrication, installation, alteration, construction and design of facility components requiring the application and management of skills in planning, problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, communication and adherence to safety
    • On a daily basis, schedule and supervise a wide range of routine maintenance and repair work, both skilled and semi-skilled, in support offacility related operations on and around the BHYC property
    • College Degree preferred
    • 2+ years experience in the performance of the full range of trade areas
