SUMMARY:Blessing of the Fleet - Boat Parade
DESCRIPTION:Register your watercraft today to take part in the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society's 14th annual Blessing of the Fleet boat parade on the harbor. Each vessel is blessed for a safe and fun boating season as they parade by our flagship\, the Harbor Princess\, in front of the main city dock. Vessels of all shapes and sizes are welcome from canoes\, kayaks and paddleboards to sailboats\, motor boats and yachts.\n\nRadio and course information are emailed to registered participants in the days leading up to the event\, so be sure to include a valid email address when registering.\n\nA more detailed schedule of events will be posted before the event\, but in general vessels are asked to be at their staging locations on the harbor by 5:30 pm. The Woodland Singers from the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians will smudge their jiimaan (canoe) and preform a water blessing song at the end of the city dock at 5:30 pm before the parade kicks off at 6 pm with the sounding of the horn from our flagship.\n\nTo register without a donation\, please use this form.
