SUMMARY:Coffee @ Ten | Textiles and Memory
DESCRIPTION:Childhood memories\, facts\, and the fictions invented from them\, by ourselves and others on our behalf\, are a complex cloth: how can we make sense of what was in order to determine what is\, and predict what may be? For me\, the answer has been to dissect\, distill\, and reassemble the spaces and objects inhabited by my family unit. Join me for a discussion of textiles in history\, sustaining an artistic practice\, and an open dialogue about how intimate spaces and the people within them shape our perspectives. This event is in-person and online via Zoom. No registration required.
