DESCRIPTION:Please join local labor and employment attorney\, Laura Dinon\, of Plunkett Cooney for this January 24\, 2020 seminar as she will provide in-depth information on employment issues that can affect your business. \n\n\n\nIf you have salaried employees between $23\,000 and $47\,476\, you need to be aware that the Department of Labor is making changes to overtime regulations.  The changes will affect the majority of the businesses in the area.  Businesses will see these new regulations being in effect on December 1\, 2016.\n\n \n\nThe new rule contains very significant revisions to the exemption rules and will affect millions of employees currently classified as exempt.  These employees will become eligible for overtime\, significantly impacting many employers budgets.\n\n\n\nAttendees will gain understanding of the new minimum salary thresholds for white collar exemptions\, including highly compensated employees\, as well as new rules for added compensation for exempt employees.  This program will also cover special features of the new FLSA regulations.\n\n \n\nWe have applied for CE credits to SHRM and HRCI for this program. \n\n \n\nThe seminar takes place in the Reycraft Room of the Perry Hotel\, 100 Lewis Street\, Petoskey\, MI 49770.  The seminar takes place from 8:30am- 10am. Registration and networking take place from 8:00-8:30am.  The cost is $25 per person and includes coffee\, tea and water.
