SUMMARY:The Hairapist Project: Community Premiere
DESCRIPTION:What does it actually look like to rebuild a life? Join us for the first community premiere of The Hairapist Project\, a transformation-driven documentary storytelling project centered on recovery\, identity\, dignity\, and the people rebuilding their lives after some of their hardest chapters. On Sunday\, September 13 at 6:00 PM\, we'll gather at the historic Carnegie Building in Petoskey for the public premiere of our first documentary transformation. The Hairapist Project was built around a simple belief: a transformation can be about far more than changing how someone looks. Through professional hair and beauty services\, intimate documentary storytelling\, and honest conversations about recovery and rebuilding\, The Hairapist Project creates space for people to be seen not simply for what they have survived\, but for who they are becoming. Our first film follows Debbie through her transformation and shares the story behind it. This project also grew from founder Samuel Zeeryp's own experience rebuilding his life after addiction and discovering what can happen when someone is given the support\, dignity\, and opportunity to begin again. This screening marks the official community launch of The Hairapist Project. Following the film\, we'll have a brief conversation about the project\, its future\, and how our community can become part of what comes next. Whether you work in recovery\, behavioral health\, philanthropy\, beauty\, nonprofit leadership\, healthcare\, media\, or simply believe in the power of second chances\, you are invited. Bring a friend. Bring someone who should know this project exists.
