DESCRIPTION:Employer Registration Page\n\n \n\nSummer is a busy time in Northern Michigan which requires area businesses to amp up their staffing levels.  It has been challenging the last several years for businesses to find enough employees for the Summer.\n\n\n\nThe pandemic has made it challenging to host large in person job fairs.  To address these challenges\, the Petoskey Chamber is helping to match businesses and potential employees through hosting two free virtual job fairs in April. \n\n\n\nThe first job fair is scheduled for April 19 from 5-7pm and is targeting high school students looking for summer employment. Any students from high schools in the area looking for summer employment are invited to take part and any businesses looking to hire high school students are invited to take part for FREE. REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 5PM FRIDAY APRIL 16.\n\n\n\nThe chamber will utilize their platform called Remo which will allow virtual one on one interaction.\n\n \n\nArea business can reserve a virtual table on the platform. The tables will list each business name. Those looking for employment will have the ability to virtually sit at a table with the business and have a brief discussion or quick interview. They will then be able to jump to several tables to learn about the business\, positions they are hiring for and other details such as hourly wage.\n\n\n\nBusinesses that would like to take part\, we ask you to register for the April 19 event by April 15 to allow the chamber to plan for the event.\n\n\n\nIt is important for you to register in advance so we can ensure you understand how the platform will work.  The Petoskey Chamber is looking forward to hosting these two job fairs to bring together employers and employees.
