What are local businesses doing on social media that’s working?
What are the best practices for posting to Facebook, should you post three times a day? How about cross posting from Instagram to Facebook, is that acceptable? So many questions and so little time but no worries, Sommer Poquette with Keep it Real Social will help you make sense of it all.
Based on Sommer’s expertise and years of experience, Sommer will share local examples of what’s working on social media for local businesses and nonprofits. She’ll also share with you the importance of how the example social media posts and your social media efforts should align with a strategy and be measured for success.
The luncheon is at Stafford’s Bay View Inn, 2011 Woodland Avenue, Petoskey, MI. Registration and networking begin at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon and presentation will begin at noon and end at 1 p.m. Cost is $20 for Connecting Women in Business Group members or $25 for all others. Register and pay online and have a chance to win a free lunch.

It includes one lunch admission, plus a covered table for display so you can interact with the attendees during registration/networking time. This exhibition showcases fresh new works created by the CTAC Painters' Studio (formerly Kitchen Painters). The CTAC Painters' Studio is a group of artists of all levels who meet weekly for open studio time at CTAC-Petoskey. All media are welcome: watercolor, acrylics, oil, pastel, pencil, ink, etc. The common thread is the desire to develop artistic skills and share experiences with others.

The annual small works showcase is juried exhibition opportunity open to AIS members. The goal is to showcase the finest examples of impressionism produced by today’s American Impressionist artists. Eligible works must be 200 square inches and under.
