Pedal for Polio Bike RideName: Pedal for Polio Bike RideDate: October 12, 2019Time: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM EDTEvent Description:Pedal for Polio with Rotary Saturday 10:30 a.m. October 12, 2019 (rain date Sunday, October 13, 2 p.m.) Sunrise Rotary Club of Petoskey will host a pledge bike ride, in conjunction with former Petoskey schools superintendent, and fellow Rotarian, Dr. John Scholten’s 42-day, 3,400-mile, cross-country cycling trip to raise money toward Polio eradication. Everyone is encouraged to participate for a minimum donation of $25 which will be matched by the Petoskey Sunrise Rotary Club*, then another 1.5X match from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation… so every $25 becomes $125! Ride begins at Little Traverse Historical Museum at the Petoskey waterfront, turns around at East Park in Bay Harbor and ends at Beard’s Brewery in downtown Petoskey, ~5 miles total. No need to pre-register, just show up with your bike and your cash or check donation!
