  • McLaren Northern Michigan - No Visitors Effective March 14 at 9 a.m.

    In the evening on Friday, March 13, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Executive Order 2020-6 to impose temporary restrictions on entry into health care facilities, residential care facilities, congregate care facilities, and juvenile justice facilities.

    Beginning Saturday, March 14 at 9:00 a.m. all health care facilities MUST PROHIBIT ANY VISITORS THAT ARE NOT NECESSARY for medical care or that are not visiting under exigent circumstances.

    Additionally, beginning as soon as possible but no later than Monday, March 16 at 9:00 a.m., these facilities must assess for COVID-19 symptoms and risk factors for all individuals not under their care who are seeking entry into their facilities. The facilities must deny entry to any individual with these symptoms or risk factors.

    Bill and Carol's Party Store & Deli: Starting Monday, March 16, we will be serving lunch to students for free while school is closed. Come in between 11:00 and 2:00 for your own daily special!

    First Presbyterian Church of Petoskey will continue with their usual Sunday and Thursday "Soup Kitchen". We will provide "To-Go" bags from 12:00-12:45p on Sundays and Thursdays. They may be picked up from our Division Street entrance.

  • Odawa Hotel will be closed Wednesday, March 18th and is scheduled to remain closed until Wednesday, April 1st. During this time we will be deep cleaning all the hotel rooms. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

    Julienne Tomatoes will be closed until March 30th, at the earliest. We will be keeping updated on the current status and will reopen when the time is right.

    Grandpa Shorter's Gifts has chosen to cancel our upcoming events in March and April, including the Easter Bunny and Indoor Sidewalk Sales.

    Emmanuel Episcopal Church is closed March 13 - March 31. During this time, we will continue to offer virtual services and spiritual offerings on Facebook Live for Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 5:00 p.m. through April 3rd and Sunday Service at 10:00 a.m. Please check our website:  eecpetoskey.org for updated information.  

    Yoga Roots has canceled all classes at this time. Watch for online classes and meditations, in addition to Facebook live videos and content on their YouTube channel.

    Northern Michigan's Largest Hiring Event on April 4th in Gaylord has been canceled.

    The St. Patrick’s Day FUNdraiser hosted by Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM) scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 has been canceled.
    Although this is an important fundraiser for the agency, we feel it is also important to follow Governor Whitmer’s guidelines for social distancing and limiting large gatherings (100 people or more) to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).  To help protect the health and wellness of WRCNM friends, staff and volunteers we believe it is best to cancel this event. WRCNM staff will be reaching out to those who purchased tickets in advance.  If you have not been contacted by our office, yet, and would like your pre-purchased ticket refunded, please call the WRCNM main office at (231) 347-0067.  If you donated an item to the auction, WRCNM staff is actively working to reach out to you.


    The Harbor Springs Chamber has postponed the State of the Community luncheon planned for March 19th.
