Government 102: an in depth look at the legislative process
GOVERNMENT 102 LECTURE HELD AT CARNEGIE BUILDING Back by popular demand, Dr. Scott LaDeur, political science professor at North Central Michigan College, will present “Government 102,” a more in-depth look at the legislative process. Dr. LaDeur will cover various topics that help explain Congressional behavior, including campaign financing, lobbying, committee work, bill sponsorship, and the rules of debate on the House and Senate floor. Proudly presented, once again, by Center Space in partnership with the Petoskey District Library, the event will be held on Tuesday, May 30th, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in the Carnegie building, with reception to follow.
