Harbor History Talk - Ottawa Stadium
Join the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society as they welcome Frank Ettawageshik, traditional storyteller and artist, for the next installment of their Harbor History Talk series. Ettawageshik's talk will take place on Thursday, September 28, 2017 and will focus on the history of the Ottawa Stadium in Harbor Springs. Today the stadium is the site of school football games and other events, but its history stretches back to 1948 when the Michigan Indian Foundation first constructed the amphitheater to host their annual Indian Naming Ceremony. The talk will begin at 5:30 pm on the second floor of the Harbor Springs History Museum and refreshments will be served. Due to limited seating, reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made by calling the Historical Society at (231) 526-9771.
