    Event Description:
    Michigan’s new Speaker of the House is from Emmet County, and that is something that should be celebrated!  Rep. Lee Chatfield of Levering is Emmet County’s first Speaker of the House which is a distinct honor for all of us.  The Government Relations Committee of the Petoskey Regional and Charlevoix Area Chambers of Commerce will host a special luncheon to honor the new speaker on Fri. Jan. 25th.  The event is sponsored by DTE.  The event is only $20 to attend which includes lunch, and some comments from Speaker Chatfield.  Doors open at 11:30 a.m. on Fri. Jan. 25th and the event should conclude by 1:00.  

    Lucnh will be Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad with a beverage. If you need a vegitarian option, please indicate on your regisration.


    You must register in advance for this event. There are no tickets available at the door. Registration closes on 1/21/18 at 5:00 p.m. Any cancellations after 1/22 will be non-refundable.

    An invitational exhibition, “Here and There” considers themes of place in time through three unique bodies of photographic work. Cameras have long been used to capture and preserve the world around us; the artists included in this exhibition photograph their surroundings in order to tell unique, personal, and unexpected narratives. Topics such as privacy, technology, beauty, and the environment are explored in this exhibition through images of varied landscapes.

    CTAC will present the 2019 Juried Photography Exhibition, January 19 though March 30, 2019. Juried by John Fergus-Jean, the call was open to all residents of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, and Crooked Tree Arts Center members, regardless of residency.
