The Gaia Mission-NIne Years In
Did you know the disk of our galaxies is warped? Have you ever wondered what the night sky will look like in the distant future? In this presentation, Rod Cortright, NASA/JPL Ambassador, will summarize discoveries made by the Gaia space observatory. This space observatory has been on station for nine years now. Its mission is to create a three-dimensional star map of the Milky Way galaxy to answer questions about our galaxy's composition, formation, and evolution.
