Human Resources Director
Posted: 10/06/2026Friendship Centers of Emmet County is seeking an experienced, people-focused Human Resources Director to join our leadership team.
This position oversees the agency’s human resources functions, including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, personnel policies, compliance, performance management, training, safety, and HR systems. The HR Director serves as a resource to both employees and leadership and plays an important role in maintaining a positive, professional workplace culture.
We are looking for someone who combines strong HR knowledge with excellent judgment, communication skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships throughout the organization.
Qualifications include:

Human resources experience with a strong understanding of employment practices and compliance

Experience with employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and HR administration

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion

HR degree, certification, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred
