    Job Summary:
    The Production Planning Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of aerospace products while maintaining quality and cost efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to align production plans with customer demand and operational capabilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and manage master production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
    • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
    • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, bottlenecks, or changes in demand.
    • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Lead cross-functional planning meetings and communicate schedule updates to stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Use planning tools and ERP systems to enhance scheduling accuracy and visibility.
    • Support new product introductions and engineering changes with integrated planning strategies.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production planning and workflow optimization.
    • Monitor and provide visualization on production progress against process schedules, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
    • Continuously improve production scheduling processes by incorporating best practices (e.g. SiOP), improve/provide required base data and emerging technologies.
    • Develop and maintain performance metrics to track e.g. schedule/Gate adherence, on-time delivery, and WIP levels (domestic, external).
    • Analyze and provide capacity demand for planning and production forecasting activities and support strategic business planning and budgeting efforts.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of critical materials and components.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in production planning, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trends and patterns.
    • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g. Syteline, SAP, or similar).
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.
    • APICS CPIM or PMP certification is a plus.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to aerospace manufacturing.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Availability to work flexible hours as needed to support production schedules and project timelines.                                                                             
    Working Conditions:
    • Work is primarily performed in an office or production floor.
    • May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
    • Occasional travel is required.
