Job Summary:
The Production Control Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of production activities within our aerospace manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for coordinating schedules, tracking materials, resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring that production deadlines are met while maintaining strict compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards. This role involves working closely with various departments, including engineering, operations, quality, and procurement, to meet customer schedules, manage inventory levels, and optimize production processes.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct value stream analysis to identify areas of improvement in the manufacturing process, including waste reduction and parts flow optimization.
• Monitor and analyze production metrics, including lead time, cycle time, and throughput, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor flow and ensure right WIP levels and job moves; identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
• Manage inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
• Develop and maintain cost efficient production schedules based on customer demand, production capacity, and inventory levels.
• Review, manage and prioritize work orders, addressing that materials and resources are available to meet production requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to all stakeholders, internal and external.
• Releases jobs on time to meet intended week of shipment.
• Forecast Monthly/3-month output.
• Support implementation of standard work, maintain high level of standardization.
• Develop, monitor, and update detailed production schedules based on material availability, manpower, and customer demand
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
• Maintain accurate records of production progress and report any delays, disruptions, or critical issues to leadership
• Interface with supply chain and inventory teams to reconcile discrepancies and optimize part flow
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance production efficiency and throughput
• Assist in preparing production forecasts and analyzing trends to support capacity planning
• Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (AS9100, FAA, etc.) and company policies
• Support cross-functional communication between departments to achieve overall production goals
• Participate in production meetings and provide status updates on job orders and workflows

Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of production issues.
• Proficiency in using production planning software, including ERP systems and MRP systems.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of aerospace industry regulations, standards, and best practices is preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, project management software, and statistical analysis tools.
Education and/or Experience
• Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems and/or aerospace.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience in production control or scheduling within manufacturing—preferably aerospace or defense
• Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing software (e.g., SyteLine, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced production environment
