Petoskey Audubon Society Hosts Early Morning Bird Walks on at Pond Hill Farm on Tuesdays May
Tuesday 9 a.m. walks at Pond Hill Farm (May 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30), near Harbor Springs, are led by PRAS members John Shreve and John & Joanne Biddick.
The leisurely-paced walks last about 2 hours, but participants are free to come and go as their schedules allow. Bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them, dress for the weather, and wear sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting muddy.
Loaner binoculars will be available, so feel free to bring along a "first-timer" to share the wonders of spring migration. Bird checklists of Emmet County will also be provided.
These walks are appropriate for all levels of experience, and no reservations are required. As always, no smoking nor pets on any PRAS field trip.
Pond Hill Farm is located approx. 5 miles northwest of Harbor Springs on M-119. Continue on M-119 for 1/4 mile past the Pond Hill Farm entrance, and park in the berry field.
