Housekeeper

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Obtain room assignments from supervisor(s).
• Clean rooms in accordance with established procedures and brand standards.
• Know correct procedure for entering a guest room.
• Check rooms and common areas for damaged furniture and equipment.
• Restock your cart at the end of each shift and return cart to storage area.
• Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart and storage areas.
• Report all deficiencies and problems in guest rooms and common areas to the Maintenance Engineer as they occur.
• Be alert to all possible hazards and follow established safety standards at all times.
• Adhere to Lost and Found procedures.
• Provide the highest quality of service to the guests.
• Report any unusual occurrences or requests to a supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to proper key control procedures.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of previous hospitality/housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to possess strong verbal and written communication skills, listen to and retain information pertinent to the job, stand for long periods of time, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel including nights, weekends and holidays.
